FAQ

The Format

Q: Why are these workshops on-demand instead of in person?

A: On-demand access lets you learn and practice on your own schedule. You can take your time with the material, review sections, and reflect in your own space. Learning preferences are individual and on-demand content simply caters to a different information processing style.

Q: Is there a time limit to complete the workshops?

A: Yes, to keep the classroom organized, access to the paid workshop expires 6-months from the date of purchase. For the free workshop, a clean-up audit will take place approximately every 6-months or sooner to allow for new users to have a chance to enroll. Check the Stream for a clean-up audit announcement or unenroll yourself when you a finished with the materials.

Q: Do I need to take the workshop in a specific order?

A: Not at all! Each workshop is a standalone class.

The Content

Q: What is the approach to the material?

A: I focus on current research, delivered in an engaging, "did you know?" style. My approach is awareness and insight-based. The goal is to give you  digestible tools that you could technically find on your own with enough time, direction, and research. Instead, you get a curated walkthrough version of the content built for clear, accessible use. Check out my free workshop to get some great insight on stress and see what it's like to learn with me.

Q: Can I download and keep the workshop materials?

A: Paid students have ongoing access to the Google Classroom space to review materials until their  6-months of access expires. Free users have until the clean-up audit occurs. The Learning Session slides are the only downloadable document provided. For external resources, like Youtube videos or articles, everything is curated and linked directly in the post and in the Workshop References/ Credits post to easily access throughout your time in the portal.

Expectations

Q: Are there grades or mandatory assignment?

A: No. These workshops are for real-life use. There are no rigid deadlines, long test, or traditional letter grades. There are exercises and activities to aid the grasping the educational concepts and brief quizzes (3-8 questions) to help you track your understanding. Written exercises are encouraged as they are purely for personal development.

Q: Will I hear from you throughout the workshop?

A: Generally, no. Since these are self-paced workshops, you won't receive regular check-ins or ongoing feedback from me unless a specific activity notes otherwise. I do give feedback on some assignments as indicated in the description of that assignment. Noteably, the Learning Sessions are entirely narrated by me, you won't even know I'm missing. ☺️

Sharing & Privacy

Q: What platform is used for the workshops?

A: Google Classroom is the platform used for my workshops. It is easy to navigate and works well on any device. All you need is a Google Account to log in. Once you're in, you'll find your exercises, videos, resources, and other learning tools.

Q: Who can see my information in Google Classroom?

A: While other participants can see your name and thumbnail photo on the classroom roster, your work or quiz results are private.

Q: Can I buy a workshop for my family member or friend?

A: Yes! During checkout, you will indicate the name of the the student in the designated field. In addition, you'll note the Google account email being used for them to enroll in their chosen workshop. This ensures their Google Classroom invitation and access materials are in the correct inbox, while the billing receipt goes to you.

Please email me if you get stuck.

Q: Can I share this site with my friends?

A: Please do! You're totally welcome to share the catalog link. Just keep in mind these workshops are purely educational—not therapy sessions. We won't be drawing from private experiences (no deep journal prompts or clinical reflections), so it's just important everyone understands the context.

But yes—my hope is that people spread the word so others can enroll and benefit from the material too!

Q: Can I take this workshop if I live outside the United States?

A: Yes! The workshop is 100% self-paced and online via Google Classroom, so you can join from most  places in the world. As long as you have an internet connection and a standard Google account, you can access all videos, prompts, and materials on your own schedule, no matter your time zone.

Please note that while participants worldwide are warmly welcome, the core concepts, resources, and perspectives shared in the workshop are created with a Western/U.S. cultural context in mind. Additionally, these workshop requires access to Google Classroom and YouTube. Please ensure standard Google services are available and accessible through the local internet provider before registering for accesses internationally.
