Workshop Policies & Terms

Last updated: August 2026

These policies constitute a binding agreement between the participant and Vanessa Perocier, PhD dba Purely Mindful Space Counseling Services ("Provider" or "Administrator") regarding the digital workshops hosted via Google Classroom.

Scope of Service & Professional Disclaimer

  • Educational Purpose: All workshops are strictly educational in nature and designed for community education. They do not constitute therapy, clinical counseling, medical advice, or mental health treatment.

  • Treatment Conflict: Content is insight-based and intended for self-reflection. It is not a substitute for professional healthcare and must not be used to replace or contradict any current medical or mental health treatment plan.

  • Accreditation & Credits: While developed by Vanessa Perocier, PhD, a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 127088), these workshops are not affiliated with any academic or accrediting institution. Completion does not grant academic credits, professional continuing education units (CEUs), or licensures.

Interpretation of Literature & Educational Content

  • Educational Methodology: Concepts, exercises, and workshop materials represent the facilitator’s synthesis and educational interpretation of General psychological, educational, and behavioral science literature. Workshop content is designed solely to facilitate personal learning, self observation, and conceptual understanding. The presentation of research or educational exercises does not constitute a guarantee, representation, or promise regarding individual real-world outcomes, personal application, or specific behavioral changes. Material focuses on current research delivered through an awareness- and insight-based approach. Content integrates clinical insights, literature reviews, and video resources. Select workshop assets, including certain visuals and media/audio elements, are AI-generated or assisted to optimize the overall presentation.

Eligibility & Technical Requirements

  • Age Restriction: Workshops are designed exclusively for adult learners aged 18 and older due to the nature of the communication concepts and real-world examples discussed.

  • Platform Access: All workshops are hosted entirely on the Google Classroom portal. Participants must possess a standard Google-linked or Gmail account to access and navigate the materials.

  • Technical Format: Content is primarily text-driven, utilizing structured reading exercises, digital summaries, and independent modules. A comfortable level of reading proficiency is recommended for optimal workshop engagement and navigation.

Registration, Pricing & Refund Policies

  • Pricing Structure: Standard workshops are priced at $30 per workshop per person. The Tools for Daily Stress workshop is provided free of charge.

  • Access Limitations: Tuition covers access for one participant per workshop. One payment per individual is required; sharing workshop login credentials or internal access links is prohibited. Unauthorized sharing of access will result in the immediate forfeiture of enrollment and termination of portal access without refund.

  • Refund Policy: All sales are final and monetary refunds will not be issued. Detailed workshop outlines are provided prior to purchase to ensure informed registration.

  • Discretionary Credits: In exceptional circumstances, a one-time credit toward an alternate workshop of equal value may be granted. Any such accommodation is issued strictly at the sole discretion of the administrator on a case-by-case basis.

  • Progress Limits on Credits: Credits are strictly ineligible if the participant has attempted any workshop quizzes, submitted any exercises/prompts, or accessed materials beyond the introductory module. Eligibility will be verified via the platform's activity logs prior to credit issuance.

  • Credit Expiration: Approved workshop credits must be used to enroll in the alternate workshop within 14 days of the date the credit is issued, after which the credit expires and becomes void.

  • Information Distribution: Users are fully permitted to share the public website catalog link with external parties, provided it is understood that the content is strictly educational.

Workshop Delivery & Pacing

  • Format: Workshops operate on an on-demand, self-paced digital framework. There are no live components, mandatory attendance hours, or physical in-person sessions.

  • Workshop Sequencing: Unless explicitly stated in the catalog description, workshops do not have prerequisites and may be completed in any order preferred by the learner.

  • Delivery & Enrollment Timeline: Workshop enrollment is processed manually during standard business hours. Following successful checkout, a Google Classroom invitation email will be issued within 2 to 3 business days to grant workshop access. See Service Interruptions & Travel Notices

  • Access Duration: Participants retain access to the Google Classroom portal and all included workshop materials for 6 months following the date their enrollment email was sent, regardless of whether the final quiz (Final Knowledge Checkpoint) has been completed. Students will be removed from the workshop enrollment list and lose access to the workshop contents after 6 months.

  • Service Interruptions & Travel Notices: Manual processing for workshop enrollments and certificate verification may experience delays during periods of administrative travel, holidays, or scheduled closures. Extended processing timelines will be noted on the main website when applicable.

Coursework, Grading & Certification

  • Curriculum Structure: Workshops utilize a combination of proactive independent exercises, self-reflection journal prompts, quizzes, polls, and media resources.

  • Grading Criteria: There are no formal letter grades or mandatory assignments that require external submission or peer review.

  • Time Commitment: The estimated completion time per workshop is 1.5 to 2 hours if completed in a single session, or 4 to 5 weeks if paced incrementally on a weekly basis.

  • Certification of Personal Growth: Certificates and email confirmations are only provided for paid workshops. Certificates are manually verified, generated, and delivered during standard business hours.

      1. Verification Threshold: To receive a certificate, participants must answer at least one question correctly on the Final Knowledge Checkpoint (final quiz). This flexible requirement recognizes that any level of learning is meaningful. While strict grading is not the focus, participants are encouraged to aim for the highest score that reflects their best effort.

      2. Resubmissions: Participants may review the workshop materials and resubmit the checkpoint at any time prior to their access expiration.

      3. Issuance: The enrollment fee includes one earned Certificate of Personal Growth.

Privacy & Data Security

  • Privacy & Information Security: Privacy settings vary by feature. Individual workshop inputs and quiz results are visible only to the workshop facilitator, and community polls are designed to be anonymous to other participants. Conversely, the optional community wall is a voluntary, non-anonymous, public-facing feature.

  • Workshop Roster Visibility: Due to the structural design of the Google Classroom platform, the names, email addresses, or Google profile identifiers of enrolled participants may be visible or accessible to other students within the active workshop roster. Registration constitutes acceptance of this platform-level peer visibility.

  • Workshop Restrictions: Workshop materials are designed for use within the designated platform portal; unauthorized downloading, duplication, or redistribution of proprietary workshop content is prohibited and will result in immediate forfeiture of enrollment and termination of portal access without refund.

Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

  • Informal Resolution Requirement: In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or relating to these workshops, the participant agrees to first attempt to resolve the matter informally by contacting Vanessa Perocier, PhD via email at hello@perocierphd.com.

  • Good Faith Negotiation: Both parties agree to engage in good faith negotiations to resolve the dispute for a period of no less than 30 days before initiating any formal legal action or external dispute mechanism.

  • Governing Law: These policies and any disputes arising under them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California without regard to its conflict of law principles.

General Provisions

  • Policy Updates: Policies are subject to periodic updates. The current standards apply at the time of workshop participation.

  • Content Adjustments: Workshop components, materials, and digital exercises may be periodically refined or updated to maintain content relevance and educational value. These updates are implemented to support the continued quality of the participant's learning journey.
